STORY:

Paloma grew up in Frederick, MD, USA, where her mom was a professor at Hood College. Her mother was offered a job at Hanajima Women’s College in Tokyo, Japan. Paloma attends Hanajima International School.

She visits Cape Cod, MA, USA every summer to see her extended family.

NOTES:

Paloma was my first “adult” American Girl doll. I bought her secondhand in March 2021 with the intent of making doll clothes to sell on Etsy. That never happened. Instead, Paloma was the doll that got me into AGIG and back into dolls as an adult doll player.

She is (currently (August 2024)) the only one of my American Girl dolls that I brought with me to Tokyo. (The others are in boxes at my mom’s house.)
